Popped Quinoa Granola with Nuts, Seeds and Cranberries

If you’re looking for a small DIY project for this weekend, why not try this homemade granola! It’s not only delicious but it will provide you with healthy breakfast for weeks to come!

Ingredients
50g popped quinoa (available in organic stores)
100g oats
70g Bonner cranberries
2 tsp flax seeds
2 tsp chia seeds (optional)
2 tbsp seed mix
2 tbsp almond flakes
2 tbsp hazelnuts
2 tbsp almonds
2 tbsp walnuts
40g Brazil nuts
150 ml maple syrup

Method
Preheat oven to 160°C. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add maple syrup and toss till all ingredients are covered. Line a baking sheet with parchment and spread the granola mixture on it. Bake for about 15 min or until golden. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Enjoy and store the rest in airtight container.

    I love that this is really easy to do! Granola from the supermarket is always packed full of sugar and it’s such a shame when you can use beautiful maple syrup like this. I’m definitely going to make your recipe but I’m going to try sprouting some of the seeds first and then dehydrating them (to keep it all raw) might not taste any good but it’s an experiment!
