Cheesecake-brownie!

I’m sure you know the feeling when you want to have something sweet but you can’t really decide between two things. In one of such moments, when deciding whether to bake cheesecake or brownie, I came up with what turned out to be one of the best things ever:  cheesecake-brownie.  The combination of a rich chocolate cake and creamy cheesecake is just divine. Downside: you can’t stop eating it till the tin is empty! ;)

Ingredients
Cheesecake mixture
400g cream cheese
1 egg
100g sugar

Brownie mixture
85g butter, cut into pieces
200g pure chocolate (chopped) or chocolate chips
130g sugar
2 eggs
70g flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
Cheesecake: Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth.

Brownie: Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat. Keep stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool off for 5min. Mix in the eggs, sugar and flour.

Preheat oven to 180C. Grease a square or a rectangular tin with baking spray. Drop scoops of cream cheese mixture on the bottom of the tin and fill the remaining space with the brownie mixture. Bake for 25min. Cool off for at least 2 hours, cut into squares and serve!

Marta
