BARCELONA SIN CARNE

I had some amazing dining experiences during my recent trip to Barcelona thanks to my lovely friend Jorge who is, just like me, a big fan of healthy and wholesome comfort food. I picked three places you should definitely visit if you’re ever in the city!

Juicy Jones

A visit to Juicy Jones is almost obligatory for anyone loving healthy cuisine. This vegetarian bar with cheerful décor offers a variety of fresh fruit juices and a full range of wholesome vegetarian dishes. Indian thali is a house specialty, but the truth is everything on the menu is exceptionally good. An assortment of vegetarian tapas will make a great start. The menú del día changes daily and has plenty of choice.
.
My hot picks:
Oven-baked tofu with peanut sauce (tapas)
Sopa Noodle Salad

Gopal

One of the best vegan experiences in Barcelona, Gopal is a delightful spot for vegan burgers, cupcakes, sweets and other specialties served by charming, friendly staff. Situated at the lovely Plaza George Orwell better known as Plaza del Tripi, it is a great place to eat any time of the day!

Mercat de la Boqueria

Mercat de la Boqueria is Barcelona’s most central produce market and a true heaven for foodies! Rich with variety of Spanish specialties and plentiful fruit and vegetable stands, there is everything to be found there! Natural fruit juices come in every combo you could ever imagine and cost only 1,50/2 euro. Be aware, the market is fabulously chaotic on Saturdays!
.
My hot picks: Mango Coconut Juice!
